You can run a Review at any stage, but it’s most useful after completing a substantial draft and before submission. Run Source Quality once your bibliography is mostly complete, Claim Confidence when your arguments and citations are in place, and Proofread after the content is stable. We also recommend reviewing again after major revisions.
Does Jenni change or remove citations automatically?
No. Reviews organize findings and recommend actions, but you choose whether to replace, remove, revise, accept, or dismiss each one.
What does Source Quality check?
Source Quality checks citations for formally retracted papers, preprints that have not yet been peer reviewed, non-research documents, rarely cited work, and journals that cannot be verified in major scholarly databases. It also summarizes publication age and venue distribution across the bibliography.
